Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk 2026

As the Team Leader for the 2026 Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk, I had the honor of guiding a dedicated group of youth and adults who showed up with heart, purpose, and a shared commitment to prioritizing mental health awareness. Together, we raised roughly $500 to support suicide prevention efforts, and our presence reflected a unified message: community care matters, and every step taken toward awareness creates space for healing and hope.

What I valued most was the strong community presence and the opportunity to collaborate with local organizations who are equally devoted to change. Leading this team reminded me of the power of collective advocacy, and I fully anticipate inheriting this movement annually. It’s a calling I embrace — to keep showing up, keep building community, and keep championing mental health for all.
